Stupid Sh*t from My Sketchbook #2 by ColonelLiamRoss Stupid Sh*t from My Sketchbook #2 by ColonelLiamRoss
Let's see... what do we have here. Some Nicolaus Copernicus, some Marius Leitdorf, some Maximilian I, one Lorenzo de Medici, couple Witch's Guard from Oz, one Jean-Paul Marat in his pyjamas, one Sherlock, one Gabriel Feraud from The Duellists, and two Captain Vidals from Pan's Labyrinth because he gives me ALL the damn feels.

LOL I've been putting off answering this because I'll miss seeing it at the top of my feed! Thanks so much! Still kind of flailing over here. :D Yeah, I don't know how a guy can be good-looking without a substantial nose... There's just something... distinguished about it.

Hope things are going swimmingly post-grad!

And I've been leaving this sitting here so long because I've no idea what to say ... I'm glad you like my comment?? =P Always nice to cheer up peoples' days! Noses are my favorite parts to play around with during character design--when in doubt, change up the nose, it always adds something to the character, you're staring RIGHT AT it.

Things are going alright! I'm slowly inching my way through finishing my animation between classes, though it's going stupidly slowly, argh. Oh well, maybe before I die HAT will be finished.

The Duellists?!  Man, that is one little mentioned but incredibly lovely film.  That scene at the end with the flooded landscape?  I cried at how absolutely breathtaking that shot was.

Also, Captain Vidal in that one scene.  I bet you know the one.  Men with sewing skills.  I get all squirmy and I am not sure if it is for the right reasons.

It's my favourite film, hands down. When anyone asks for a really good historical flick, I always point them to The Duellists. The two scenes with Tom Conti as Dr. Jacquin are my favourite. :D

Oho, you BET I know the one. I alternate between being all "HAHA, TAKE THAT, YOU BASTARD" and having my soul and sense of self-comprehension destroyed i.e. wondering why the hell such a evil dude gives me such extreme feels.

Yes...my friends have often remarked on my poor choices for favorite characters.  It's not like I would ever want to deal with them in real life....they are just.  so.  badass.

Dude, your comment =  best thing EVER to read first thing in the morning, especially from a super-legit artist. Honestly, still flailing over here. I think the noses happened by a mistake - I've been into dudes with huge noses from the get-go and it just kind of... happened. I think my next step is going to be expressions and mouths doing stuff other than (----). Goodbyeeee comfort-zone.... :noes:
