Back Shot of Field Uniform

Description

I originally posted this on LJ and figured that its...artisticness (HA!)...warranted a submission to DA. I've decided to put it under "Clothing" rather than "Costumes" because it IS clothing - just historical clothing instead...

Anyway, *goes into history lecture mode* this is a field uniform - something officers would have worn when out reconnoitering, inspecting outposts, etc, instead of wearing their expensive laced do-hippis. It was also a method of blending in better with the regular soldiers so they wouldn't get picked off by sharp-shooters. The tails are short in the back and it's made of a coarser wool than normal. This particular uniform is based off of the one that James Wolfe is wearing in West's "Death of General Wolfe": [link]

Enjoy!
